Walks/Hikes
- Vanderveer ranch - right behind the hotel - nice 30 minute walk
- Salida River Trail (Alltrails link) - a few miles along the river downtown. pretty flat. 1hr
- Walk to the top of S Mountain (AKA Tenderfoot Mountain - uphill but great views)
. Park here for the shortest walk up and around to the top
. If you want a longer hike that starts from town, here's an Alltrails link
- Spartan Loop (Alltrails link) - a few miles up on Methodist mountain (the backdrop of the ceremony). not too hilly but great views from south of town
- Waterdog Lakes Trail (Alltrails link). Longer alpine out and back trail on Monarch Pass. A Rowen favorite.
